Today’s Brain Teasers: I Never Was…
I never was, am always to be,
No one ever saw me, nor ever will,
And yet I am the confidence of all
To live and breathe on this terrestrial ball.
With beautiful women I often dance,
they sweep me off my feet.
Yet these ladies offer me no romance,
With no man can I compete.
My nose is long, my back is broad and round,
And in my belly oft two holes are found;
No load I carry, yet I puff and blow,
As much as heavy loaded porters do.
Legs I have got, yet seldom do I walk;
I backbite many, yet I never talk;
In secret places most I seek to hide me,
For he who feeds me never can abide me.
No matter how keen your vision, you’ll never see me unless you see my reflection or catch me awake in a photograph.
