A.<\/strong> On your site, yes, so long as you make it very clear that it came from TodayIFoundOut.com and give link credit back to the original article and a link back to\u00a0 TodayIFoundOut’s homepage.\u00a0 In the case of a publication or if you are a business wanting to use one of our articles, the answer is probably yes, though we’d have to work out some deal before hand that would be mutually satisfactory in that case.\u00a0 In this latter case, email me<\/a> here and we can work something out.<\/p>\n

Q.<\/strong> For email subscriptions and comments where it requires me to leave my email address, what is your Privacy Policy?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A.<\/strong> We won’t sell or share your email addresses with anyone else, except where required by law, nor will we spam you in any way.\u00a0 For email subscriptions, your email is just used for sending you the emails you requested to be subscribed to. You can easily unsubscribe any time.\u00a0 For the email addresses required to leave a comment, you will not ever receive emails from us unless you specifically are asking to be emailed in your comment or requested to be notified if someone replies to your comment.\u00a0 We require an email address in comments simply as an anti-spam measure.\u00a0 We get an amazing amount of SPAM even with that requirement, but much less than when we didn’t require it.<\/p>\n

Q.<\/strong> I have an idea for an improvement to your site.\u00a0 Care to hear it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A.<\/strong> Again, absolutely.\u00a0 We’re always looking to make the site better and easier to use.\u00a0 Please do send us your idea.<\/a><\/p>\n

Q. I submitted a comment, but it got marked as spam.\u00a0 What gives?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A. <\/strong>Today I Found Out<\/a> gets several hundred spam comments a day, so we have an automatic spam filter in place.\u00a0 This filter overall works fairly well, but sometimes might assign something as spam that isn’t.\u00a0 If this happens to you, email us and we’ll rectify the issue.<\/p>\n

A.<\/strong> Unless otherwise stated in the actual post, all Word of the Day posts use Wiktionary<\/a> for definitions and The Barnhart Concise Dictionary of Etymology<\/a> for the Etymology of a word.\u00a0 All other potential references for information in the Word of the Day posts are explicitly stated in the post.<\/p>\n
